REQUEST OF INVITATION - RICHIESTA PARTECIPAZIONE

The A.S.D. CUS UDINE canoe club is glad to present you the Lignano International Canoe Polo Meeting - january 28th, 29th, 2023 - 16 teams training tournament in 50 metres indoor swimming pool at the GE.TUR. Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD- Italy) .

Request of registration:

Filling the request of invitation form with the team/club name, league and ranking 2022 in the national championship, name of players and sending it to canoa.cusudine@yahoo.it .

Deadline to send request of invitation form is DECEMBER 5th, 2022

The organizing committee will consider all the requests and will send the “invitation” to the selected teams not later than 6TH, December, 2022 – and all the information to send the entry fee ( € 150 each team in accomodation in Bellaitalia Village, € 200 each team not in accomodation in Bellaitalia Village - pay in advance will be compulsory to have a place at the tournament -). The other teams will be included in the waiting list.

The meeting program

Saturday 28th, january

7.30 am : introducing canoes inside the swimming pool, 8.00 am: leaders meeting and giving of the timetables 8.30 am : tournament start
22.00: finish of the first part

Sunday 29th, january

ore 8.00 am: start of the second part of the tournament ore 15.30: end of the tournament

The program could be modified according to the real number of the teams. The minimum games number for each team is 5. There is not “lunch break”, so everyone should eat something according with the team’s timetable (good choice is asking for the lunch bag).

Accommodation

IMPORTANT: If you don’t have an accommodation in the Ge.Tur. Village, you will be charged € 5,00 more per person for the weekend – to be paid at the reception of the village (otherwise you have to buy at least one lunch/dinner in the village – bring the ticket at the village reception)

At the Ge.Tur. sport village near the swimming pool, filling the accomodation form (excel file) and sending it to the mail address indicated on it. The accomodation is very cheap, good and closed to the swimming pool:

* “FULL BOARD” MEANS BREAKFAST + LUNCH + DINNER. FOR LUNCH AND DINNER YOU CAN ASK A LUNCH BAG (COMPOSED BY SANDWICH, WATER AND A FRUITS OR SIMILAR): SPECIFY IT IN THE ACCOMODATION FORM – the lunch bag is is a very smart choice for lunch during the meeting.

1. Although the Meeting is a training session it is played on a tournament format, with test sessions and technical meetings. It is not an official competition. Because of this there is no ambulance and medical service available. Consequently every athlete taking part does so under their own personal responsibility;

2. At the Meeting all the athletes must be members of their respective canoe federations and be in possession of a valid medical certificate for the discipline of competitive canoe polo activity.

3. Each team must have two referees

4. Each game will be composed by two times of 8 minutes, pause: 1 minute. No stop at the score.
5. It is forbidden to use shoes around the swimming pool;
6. It is forbidden to hit the swimming pool borders with paddle or kayaks. It is compulsory to board the kayak with the kayak on the water; every kayak must be clean and with good bumpers (no “flying tapes”)

7. It is forbidden to have food around the swimming pool;
8. It will possible to introduce kayaks inside the swimming pool building from 8.00 am. 9. Every team and referee must be on time at each game. Every reference team on late will be sanctioned with -2 goals at the next game.
10. The fair play and friendship are the basis of canoe polo. Every behaviour against these basis will be sanctioned according to the ICF canoe polo rules.

Motorway A4 Trieste - Venice, Latisana exit, follow the indication to Lignano Sabbiadoro (SS454). Arrived in Lignano, follow the map below (follow “Viale Europa Unita and turn on the right in via Mezzasacca. The swimming pool is in the Ge.Tur. Village, Viale centrale n°19 . Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD).
